This is a follow up to the basic training seminar we had two years ago.This seminar is will cover items that will be beneficial to retrievers preparing to run in the Seasoned and Finished Levels of Hunt Tests. You are welcome to bring your retriever. Owner/ handlers that do not have dogs at this level are encouraged to attend also.

Stephen Durrence is an accomplished retriever trainer from Sylvania, GA. He takes skills & techniques he learned from growing up on the family farm and implements them into his training program. Stephen believes owner participation is paramount to a retriever’s success. His training methods are transparent and customized to fit the needs of each dog, and he wants each owner to know and understand exactly how his dog is trained.
Stephen has trained and handled dogs of all levels in AKC and HRC Hunt Tests. He is most widely known for training and handling GRHRCH SRSx3 Big Black Dude II MH, “Dude”. Dude has13 HRC Grand Passes, 1,490 HRC Championship points, won the 2014 SRS Crown Championship and placed as runner up in 2011, 2012 & 2013. Dude is a Master National Hunter, a member of the Master National Retriever Hall of Fame and qualified in 32 Master Hunter Tests. Mr. Durrence has trained and ran many other talented retrievers.
