We will cover how to get your dog to not "cheat" on the way to a mark. Cheating is where they get off the direct line to the mark to avoid an obstacle or cover. Cheating can also be where they get off line because of suction, such as an old fall, winger hide etc. Decheating is useful for all levels of dogs and is something you will have to go back to time and time again in your retriever's lifetime.
